Cryosurgery should not be used in the following situations:
- Treating Milia
- Uncertain diagnoses or malignant skin lesions
- In the distal extremities (think fingers and toes) of people with the following conditions
- Raynaud’s Syndrome
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Periungual lesions (underneath the nail)
- Patients diagnosed with cardiac disease
- Patients diagnosed with skin cancer
- Open wounds present in the treatment area
