PRP vs filler vs threads under eye treatments?

Filler

Dermal filler does result in an immediate result for the appropriate true tear trough. Placed to the lateral boder of the eye and under the cheek to reduce the circle under the eye, reducing the dermal filler place directly into tissue directly under the eye often leads to better and safer outcomes.

Just below the lower eyelids is a lymphatic system to clear fluids and promote immune function. If blocked by poorly placed filler, pockets of puffiness can form until the filler naturally dissolves. Fillers can also attract and hold water, so if an inappropriate filler product is used the under-eyes can look bloated and puffy for years after the treatment. If you’re prone to fluid retention under the eyes due to chronic allergies or sluggish lymphatics then you may want to avoid dermal fillers which may exacerbate the problem. In addition, the filler product can migrate over time to create ridges.

Dermal fillers do provide an instant result when expertly performed and if the filler migrates it is easily removed with Hylase.

PRP

Conversely PRP is a growth-factor-rich serum, made from your own blood, which stimulates your natural collagen production for thicker, smoother skin making it a good remedy for tired eyes. With PRP there are no risks of product migration or of it holding water. As it is made from your own blood it is safe and there are no risks to adverse reactions.

However, it takes time for your new collagen to be produced and therefore for the results to be achieved. A series of treatments may be required to achieve the optimum result. PRP treatments produce more natural looking results which can last years.

Threads
Mono threads can be an excellent option for shallow tear troughs, the thread induces more collagen to naturally help to thicken the skin and lessen the tear trough. Mono threads do not cause fluid retension so no puffiyness weeks or months later. Safer than dermal filler placement in this area.
