Regenerative medicine is at the forefront of modern medicine. It involves treatment protocols and bioactive serums designed to harness your body's natural healing abilities. Exosomes and polynucleotides technology, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and growth factors are some of the regenerative innovations being used to treat skin ageing concerns.
Bioactive serums contain active ingredients that target specific skin concerns such as collagen and elastin degradation, skin barrier function, and melanin production.
Biotechnology is used to enhance the efficacy of the active ingredients through microencapsulation systems that protect the active ingredients from degradation and improve their delivery to the target skin cells, or to create peptides that mimic the structure of natural peptides found in the skin which can help stimulate collagen production and improve skin elasticity.
What are the benefits of bioactive serums?
Advances in new bioactive serums are enabling us to provide treatment options that are shorter, less expensive and more comfortable, and if adopted at an early stage help slow the process of skin ageing.
New bioactive serums now available
At the DRVICTORIA™ Skin Clinic we now offer:
-
Exosomes:
- Used to regenerate ageing skin;
- Exosomes play a vital role in cell-to-cell communication. These nano-sized messengers derived from stem cells are rich in growth factors, proteins, and genetic material that can stimulate tissue repair, promote collagen production, and improve overall skin quality.
- Polynucleotides:
- Used to regenerate ageing skin;
- Polynucleotides are natural compounds, derived from the DNA of salmon or trout and possess the ability to stimulate cellular repair and regeneration. Polynucleotides can be used to promote collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Rosacea:
- Used to reduce facial redness and rosacea;
- A hyaluronic acid skin booster containing niacinamide, glutathione, tranexamic acid and ascorbyl glucoside to reduce skin irritation by strengthening skin barrier functions to reduce inflammation and the appearance of redness.
- Melasma:
- Used to reduce melasma;
- Contains arbutin liquorice, combined with vitamins A, C and E in a Hyaluronic acid base which inhibits hormone induced melasma that typically appears on the forehead, cheeks, chin and upper lips.
What makes our bioactive serum protocols so effective?
We combined bioactive serums with microneedling treatments to dramatically increase their effectiveness.
Microneedling use ultra fine, sterile, needles to create micro channels into your skin which allow the bioactive serums to infuse through your skin's epidermis and penetrate deep into your skin's dermis so that they can target cellular regeneration at the correct skin layer.
Additional benefit is that these micro channels also stimulate your skin's healing response to renew your skin cells.
