Amy McLean

GDC 272362
Medical Assistant

Hi, my name is Amy.

My passion for skincare and skin-focused treatments led me to the world of facial aesthetics.

Having struggled with acne throughout my teenage years, I understand first hand how challenging skin concerns can be and how they can impact daily life. This personal experience fuels my commitment to helping others feel confident in their skin.

My Role

I love working alongside my colleagues, and my main role as medical assistant involves assisting our doctors and nurses during treatments, ensuring clients are well-prepared for their procedures, and guiding them through their clinic journey to achieve their desired results.

I’m also a trained phlebotomist, taking blood samples for our skin and hair treatments.

I recently passed my iTEC exams for Access to Aesthetic Therapies allowing me to transition into the role of aesthetician. I’m excited to continue expanding my knowledge and skills.

My Favourite Treatment

If I had to pick just one, it would be microneedling with Exosomes or PRP . This is because I have witnessed the skin transformation they achieve in stimulating collagen and elastin production for a healthier, more radiant complexion.

My Must-Have Skincare Products

  • Hyaluronic Acid: Even though I have oily skin, hydration is still key! (DRVICTORIA™ Ultra-Hydrate)
  • Vitamin A: – Essential for cell turnover and skin renewal. (DRVICTORIA™Re-Boost)
  • SPF: My ultimate hero product! (Heliocare SPF50 Oil-Free Beige) It doubles as a lightweight foundation while protecting my skin from photo-ageing.

Outside of Work

In my spare time, I love relaxing with family and friends, catching up over a coffee, and discovering new restaurants in and around Edinburgh.

I also have a passion for travel, exploring new places whenever I can. To stay active, I enjoy going to the gym, running, Pilates, and long walks with my golden retriever.
