I love the science behind treatments! I like to help patients understand the cause of any skin concerns and how science can help them achieve their goals. The Observ520x ski analysis machine is a favourite device of mine - as it helps us get to see what is going on with your skin.

My Role

As an aesthetician I help patients achieve their goals. I am qualified to provide all the aesthetician treatments, but specialise in:

  • Laser and electrolysis for hair removal. (I help a lot of our transgender women.)
  • Laser and IPL for vascular and pigmentation concerns.
  • Microneedling to treat vascular and pigmentation concerns.
  • CoolSculpting® for body contouring.

My Favourite Treatment

As an aesthetician - it is providing CoolSculpting® treatments because patients can become very emotional at review appointment when we examine the outcomes achieved. I find the stories patients share about their increased confidence and being able to wear more flattering clothes inspiring and I feel real pride in being part of their journey.

My Must-Have Skincare

For me it’s the DRVICTORIA™ Vitamin C 10% which I use on a daily basis and Obagi Vitamin A which I use regularly.

Outside Work

Currently I split my time between France and Scotland. When in France I live in Marseille - which I love. I am currently trying to improve my French.

“J'adore le mode de vie français mais je ne suis pas douée pour la langue!”

My hobbies are going to the beach, long walks and the gym. I love to cook - specially making bread. French cuisine has not yet converted me, as my favourite dishes are still spaghetti and Cullen Skink, although I do like a good cassoulet dish.

My mantra I like to live by is:

Fun Fact

Music wise I’m into pop and old school jazz, but my really naughty secret is watching reality TV!

Mhairi's Career

Mhairi has worked in the beauty and aesthetic industry for a decade - having started her career at the prestigious Mary Reid Spa Academy in Edinburgh. She realised, early on, that she preferred the more advanced technical treatments, based on science, to the pampering of the traditional beauty
