Let’s be real—spending your time shaving, waxing, or stressing over stubble is so last decade. Laser hair removal isn’t just about ditching the razor; it’s about upgrading your life. We combine the latest medical-grade lasers with expert care to deliver real results for all skin types.
Why Laser Hair Removal Is So Popular?
Imagine a world where you don’t need to schedule your life around waxing appointments or worry about last-minute outfit changes because of stubble. Or perhaps its unwanted facial hair that's hard to shave - no battling in front of a mirror.
Laser hair removal gives you up to 80% permanent hair reduction in just 6 treatments. And if any hair grows back, it’ll be finer and way less noticeable - meaning you stay smooth longer, with fewer touch-ups. Typically an annual maintenance is all that's required for a few years.
What’s In It for You?
- No More Ingrown Hairs: Forget the bumps and irritation from shaving or waxing. Smooth skin, no drama.
- Skin Glow-Up: Shaving and waxing can mess with your skin tone and texture over time. Laser hair removal helps prevent that, leaving your skin looking flawless.
- Save Time and Cash: If you are waxing every 6 weeks to maintain smooth skin then you are probably spending around £320 - £480 a year. Complete a course of laser hair removal, and you’ll save thousands in just a few years. What could you do with that extra money? New wardrobe? Extra holidays? What will you do with all that extra time? You decide.
How Laser Works
Our advanced Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers target the pigment in your hair follicles, heating them just enough to stop them from growing back. It’s super precise, meaning your skin stays safe while your hair doesn’t stand a chance.
Hair grows in cycles, so you’ll need a 6-8 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart to hit every follicle during its growth phase. After that? Smoother skin with way less upkeep.
Before and After
Your Laser Hair Removal Plan
Step 1: Let’s Talk
Your first step is a consultation where we’ll check out your skin type, hair type, and goals. We’ll also do a patch test to make sure everything’s good to go. Once you’re cleared, your journey to hair-free skin can start in seven days.
Step 2: Get Ready
To prevent skin sensitivity:
- Avoid tanning (including sunbathing, tanning salons, and self-tanning products) on the treatment area for 4 weeks prior to your appointment. Tanned skin increases the risk of burns and hypopigmentation.
- Shave 1–2 days before your appointment (but avoid waxing or plucking during your course—you need those follicles intact for the treatment to work).
- On the day of your treatment skip applying skincare products and perfumes to treatment area.
Step 3: Time to Laser
Your practitioner will prep the area, make sure your skin’s safe to treat, and give you protective goggles.
Our lasers have cooling tech built in to keep things comfy. You might feel a light snapping sensation, but most people say it’s totally bearable.
Step 4: Post-Treatment Care
After your session, your skin might feel a bit warm or look a little pink, like a mild sunburn. No biggie - your practitioner will apply some soothing aloe vera gel and it’ll calm down within 24 hours.
Follow aftercare guidance:
- Skip perfumes, alcohol-based or acidic skincare, and jewellery that may rub the treated area for 48 hours. For sensitive areas loose baggy clothing maybe more comfortable.
- Skip shaving the treated area if swollen or crusted for 48 hours.
- Avoid saunas, spas and swimming for 48 hours.
- Use SPF 50 sunscreen on treated areas exposed to sunlight for at least 4 weeks after your last treatment to prevent sun damage.
Which is better laser or IPL hair removal?
IPL uses broad-spectrum light with multiple wavelengths, while lasers emit a single, precise wavelength optimised for better follicle absorption. This makes IPL less effective per session and more uncomfortable, often requiring more treatments to achieve the same results.
Which is better laser or electrolysis hair removal?
Electrolysis removes all hair colours but is slow, uncomfortable, and often more expensive due to the number of sessions needed. Laser is faster, more comfortable, and reliably treats large areas. We recommend laser for coloured hair, using electrolysis only for white or grey hairs when necessary.
Who is suitable for laser hair treatment?
You can't have laser hair removal if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You suffer with Psoriasis or Vitiligo.
- The treatment area is tanned or has a tattoo.
- The treatment area has active acne or you have used Roaccutane in the last 6 months.
Why Choose Us?
- We’ve Got the Tech: Our Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers are the gold standard for all skin types, including Asian and Afro-Caribbean tones. Whether you’re fair-skinned or have a deeper complexion, we’ve got you covered.
- Trusted by NHS Lothian: We’re not just any clinic—we’re the go-to provider for NHS referrals, so you know you’re in safe hands.
- Tailored for You: Every treatment plan is personalised, so you get the best results with minimal fuss.
Our expert laser practitioners and cutting-edge medical-grade lasers deliver impressive results, typically achieving up to 80% hair reduction in just 6 treatments for most clients with lighter skin tones. That’s far fewer sessions compared to many competitors, who often require 12–18 treatments to achieve similar results.
For clients with darker skin tones, our lasers are carefully adjusted to lower settings to prioritise safety and minimise the risk of hypopigmentation. While this may mean additional sessions are needed, it ensures the process is both effective and skin-safe.
