Mauri Chua
I’ve always loved helping people feel their best, and at the clinic I find it especially rewarding because it goes beyond the surface. It’s about confidence, self-expression, and giving people that spark of joy when they see themselves in a new light.
My Role and How I Support You
As a Medical Assistant, I’m here to make sure your experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible. I will greet you, remove your makeup and take clinical photos, before supporting your clinician in the treatment. Afterwards I will help guide you through your aftercare instructions and escort you back to reception.
I treat every client like a friend or family member - listening carefully, explaining things clearly, and always leading with empathy.
My goal is to help you feel safe, respected, and confident throughout your journey.
My Skincare Must-Have
If I had to choose one skincare essential I can’t live without, it would be sunscreen. It’s such a simple step, but one of the most powerful things you can do for your skin. I always remind clients: consistency is key. Daily SPF is one of the best ways to protect and preserve your skin’s health and beauty over time.
What Inspires Me
Inside the clinic, I’m constantly inspired by how even small treatments can have a big emotional impact. Seeing clients delighted with their results, at their review appointments, makes me excited and inspires me.
Outside of work, I find inspiration in food, culture, and connection. Cooking is one of my favourite ways to relax and express myself. I love experimenting with new recipes, discovering great places to eat around the city, and bringing people together over a good meal. Food tells stories and creates shared moments without needing words.
A Glimpse into My Life Outside Work
When I’m not in the clinic, I love to walk and explore the city, it’s my version of meditation. Wandering through different neighbourhoods and soaking in the energy of Edinburgh helps me reset and recharge.
I’m also a huge fan of mellow, acoustic music and Asian cuisine, especially Japanese and Chinese food. Trying out new restaurants and dishes is one of my favourite ways to unwind and stay inspired.
A Little Quote I Live By
“When you feel good, you shine.”
That’s the energy I seek to bring into every treatment room. I want everyone I meet to feel empowered, supported, and comfortable being themselves.
