Standard Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a liquid your body absorbs it fairly quickly. How is the "PRP Bio-Volumiser" different from dermal filler?
Dermal fillers are usually lab-made hyaluronic acid (a substance that also occurs naturally in skin). A PRP Bio-Volumiser is different: it uses your own plasma, gently heated to form a soft, natural gel that can be placed to support volume.
Because it comes from your own body, the risk of an allergic reaction is very low. And unlike dermal fillers, it contains growth factors which help skin-quality as well as subtle volumising. In addition there is no risk of dermal filler migration.
Is it the same as PRP for microneedling?
Not exactly. Standard PRP for skin is typically a liquid used for hair rejuvenation injections or microneedling. Bio-Volumiser uses processed plasma proteins to create a gel-like volumiser with the growth factors.
