During the CoolSculpting procedure you may initially experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging and aching at the treatment site, but these will subside as the area becomes numb. At DR VICTORIA we use the latest CoolSculpting technology making it more comfortable during treatment than older devices.
Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity. These effects are temporary and generally resolve within 1-2 weeks.
Many people, after seeing the results from their CoolSculpting procedure, feel even more motivated to stay close to their ideal weight.
However, if you do gain weight, your body will store it in the remaining fat cells. This means your weight gain will be more obvious in areas not treated by CoolSculpting where you have more fat cells remaining.
CoolSculpting removes fat cells in targetted areas for body sculpting. It is not a treatment for obesity or weight loss.
No supplements are required after your CoolSculpting treatment and it’s not a diet programme.
At your CoolSculpting consultation you will discuss your lifetsyle habits, and our doctor or nurse may recommend some changes in order for you to maintain the best results. However, these are never drastic and could be something as simple as getting more exercise through walking to work or reducing your calorie intake by drinking less fizzy drinks.
Many patients do feel more motivated to take care of themselves after a CoolSculpting treatment. It’s as if they got a second lease on their body! They want to take even better care of themselves.
Prepare your body for CoolSculpting with these top tips including diet, fitness and mindfulness.
